Important information for Semester 2 2012: Much of the information on this site and in the supporting documents mentions that students may use their own laptop for eExams. For Semester 2 2012 this is not the case. All eExams will be held in the Pharmacy PC Lab on the SandyBay campus, using university-supplied PCs. Therefore students do not need to have their laptops certified for use, however students can still borrow or create a USB stick to practice in the eExams environment on their own equipment.
UTAS is supporting the further use of eExams for semester 2, 2012. eExams is a secure system that allows students to use a computer for writing exam answers in an invigilated exam setting.
In semester 2, 2012 up to ten units will be supported by the Exams Office, ITS and TILT to offer students this alternative to conventional exams. Students will have a first-come-first-served option to nominate for the eExam which will be timetabled at the same time as the paper-based exam. A dedicated room with up to 40 seats with invigilation, technical support and university-supplied PCs will be available for eExam candidates through the exam period.
A brochure (PDF 438.7KB) with general information about the eExam System is available.
