The HECS scholarship for Concurrent Diploma Studies is available to students who have, or will have, an enrolment in both a degree program and a diploma program, and who are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. It entitles eligible students to a HECS scholarship for the units in the Diploma.
Students must fulfill all of the following criteria:
Existing students who are already currently enrolled in both a degree program and a diploma program can apply for the scholarship in eStudentCentre under Fees / Scholarships.
Students who are currently enrolled in either the degree program only or the diploma program only will need to apply for entry to the additional program in the usual way through an online application for admission.
Once they have concurrent enrolment in both programs, students can then apply for the scholarship.
Students who are not yet studying in either a degree program or a diploma program must apply for entry to both in the usual way through an online application for admission.
If you are successful and receive an offer, you need to accept the offer and enrol in the units you wish to study. To complete your enrolment you must submit an eCAF as you are a Commonwealth Supported Student. Once you have enrolled in the units of study and submitted your eCAF, students can then apply for the scholarship online at the eStudentCentre.
Students receiving a HECS scholarship for concurrent diploma studies in a Commonwealth supported place must submit an eCAF (Commonwealth Assistance Form) when enrolling. Failure to submit an eCAF could result in enrolment cancellation.
An invoice displaying the student contribution and the exemption scholarship will be available from eStudentCentre.
The HECS scholarship for concurrent diploma studies is not available to students who have already completed an undergraduate program and subsequently wish to undertake Diploma study.
The HECS scholarship for concurrent diploma studies is available from 2011 for the duration of the concurrent enrolment and is not available retrospectively.
It is the responsibility of the student to be enrolled in both programs, and to apply for the scholarship, prior to the commencement of their units.
