Faculty of Health Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS)
These scholarships provide commencing international students studying in the Faculty of Health with a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of the course.
Available to all commencing international students who submit an application to study one of the eligible programs offered by the Faculty of Health. Applicants can view a list of eligible programs at Faculty of Health TIS Offerings
Applicants are automatically assessed for this scholarship and can be awarded a TIS for all semester intakes.
Please note: As a limited number of scholarships are available for eligible programs, selection for these scholarships is very competitive and will be based on exceptional achievement in studies at secondary, diploma and degree level programs.
To be considered for a Faculty of Health TIS, applicants will require the equivalent to an 'A' average (80% overall) in their previous studies. Successful applicants must return their acceptance with payment by the date specified on their offer letter to retain the award. Applicants will be notified in their Offer of Enrolment if they have been successful in being awarded a scholarship. Students should read their scholarship offer carefully.
Recipients must achieve a Distinction average (70% overall) for the duration of their UTAS program to remain eligible for the award.
Examination results will be reviewed each semester by the Scholarships Selection Committee to determine ongoing eligibility. Recipients who do not meet ongoing eligibility will be notified by email.

As students are assessed automatically upon submission of their International Student Application Form, there is no need to apply separately, nor do recipients need to apply for ongoing eligibility.
