A great week for music

David Bollard This week promises to be a great one for music lovers with two fantastic concerts being held at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music.

On Friday 26 August at 7:30pm a concert featuring Gerard Willems (piano) and Christopher Kimber (violin) will be held. Professor Willems is currently based at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Christopher Kimber has returned home to Tasmania after retiring from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Grieg Violin Sonata No.3 in C minor, Op.45
Beethoven Piano Sonata No.3 in F minor Op.57 “Appassionata” (1804-06)
Brahms Hungarian Dance No.4 in B minor
On Saturday 27 August at 6pm, David Bollard (adjunct professor) and David Nuttall (principal oboe, TSO) will present the world premières of works by Australian composers Don Kay and Larry Sitsky:

Program:
This concert features the world première of new works by Australian composers, Don Kay and Larry Sitsky (both will be present at this concert).
