UTAS Bachelor of Pharmacy students are invited to the George Taylor Scholarship Launch to be held this Friday 24th August, 2012.
At this launch students will have an opportunity to hear about the criteria that is attached to applying for the scholarship and to meet George himself, the man behind the Scholarship.
This $1,500 scholarship is currently open and taking applications until 31st October, 2012 and all third Year students, including Honours students are eligible to apply
George is recognised as being one of the pioneering clinical pharmacists in Australia. He has helped to shape pharmacy practice in a career spanning 40 years and involving practice in Australia and the Middle East. George has taught virtually all of the hospital pharmacists practising in Tasmania and many others who have moved interstate.
He has honed the clinical pharmacy skills of all Tasmanian pharmacy graduates for decades, improving healthcare outcomes for the Tasmanian population.
The UTAS School of Pharmacy, together with George's friends and colleagues, have acknowledged George's outstanding educational contribution to Pharmacy by establishing this scholarship in his honour.
