Stuck for plans this weekend? SVPA students have you covered
Performances of two of Shakespeare’s classic plays, Richard III and Othello, have been drawing strong crowds to Inveresk’s Annexe Theatre this week.
But if you want to see the most ambitious theatre project in the School of Visual and Performing Arts’ 10 year history, you’ll have to be quick.
Only three performances remain; Richard III on Friday, May 6 at 7pm, and on Saturday May 7 at 1pm, along with Othello on Saturday, May 7, at 1pm.
The cast of 20 performers have multiple roles in both plays, something director Rob Lewis said was a first for SVPA.
Some performers have up to seven different roles, making the project extremely ambitious, Mr Lewis said.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for concession cardholders, and $8 for students, and can be booked by calling (03) 6324 4450.
