Find out how you can be a part of a procession
The Town and Gown processions will again be a part of the December graduation round. In the event of rain, radio stations will announce cancellations from 8.30am.
Hobart Town and Gown is on Wednesday 15 December departing Domain House at 2:30pm and moving to the Federation Concert Hall by way of Liverpool and Campbell Streets, for the 3pm ceremony.
This year the procession will be preceded by activities on the Domain precinct from 12.30 – 2.30pm including performances by the Friends School and New Town Primary School marimba group, strolling players and the Buddhist Lion Dance. UTAS Alumni will host a barbecue to welcome visiting guests of international graduands, but all participants are invited to join in.
If you are participating in the procession, please assemble in academic dress in front of the Graphics Building at the rear of Domain House at 2.10pm. There will be signage and people there to direct you.
(The Launceston Town and Gown Procession is a well established tradition now. If you would like to participate, please assemble at the Henty House end of the Civic Square at 10.10am. There will be signage and people there to direct you.)
