New for 2011 - Social Work now offered at Cradle Coast
Did you know that Social Work is now available on the Cradle Coast campus? The University of Tasmania now offers two professional qualifying courses in Social Work running in Hobart, Launceston and now Cradle Coast.
Bachelor of Social Work -
The Bachelor of Social Work is a professional qualifying course, which is designed for individuals who want to study social work while undertaking their first university degree.
Duration: 2 years full-time or part-time equivalent
Entry requirements: Successful completion of two years of a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Social Science or equivalent, including study in sociology and psychology subjects
Location: Hobart, Launceston, Cradle Coast
Intake: February
Master of Social Work -
The Master of Social Work is a newly created professional qualifying course, which is designed for people who already have a 3 year degree and who would like to have a professional social work qualification as well.
Duration: 2 years full-time or part-time equivalent
Entry requirements: A completed bachelor degree from the University of Tasmania, or another recognised university, which includes some units involving studies in society (i.e. Social science or humanities-type units) and some units involving studies of individuals, human behaviour and/or human development (i.e. Psychology-type courses)
