The surveying of marine habitats in Tasmanian coastal waters is an ongoing process under the SeaMap Tasmania project. Completed seabed habitat maps are available by clicking on the respective area on the map of Tasmania shown below.
Maps are available at 1:25,000 for areas outlined in red (to November 2006).
Areas outlined in yellow are sections that are planned for mapping (as of January 2007).
The resolution of these maps has been sacrificed to some extent to provide all internet users the ability to view the map series. If you require higher resolution maps please contact us.
