Megan is a multidisciplinary artist crossing installation, painting, and paper cutting. Her research interest lies in the nature of contemporary pictorial construction with particular reference to pictorial space and contemporary pictorialism. She is particularly interested in the concept of the screen as a physical and perceptual barrier that inhibits the viewer from entering into a perceived sense of illusionism or the space of an image. Within this context she questions the nature of conflict rising out of polarities that are grounded firmly within the everyday and include such concerns as tradition & modernity, beauty & terror, love & hate, home & away, nature & culture and language & communication.
