 About teaching Matters

Overview

Teaching Matters is the University of Tasmania's internal conference for staff involved or interested in teaching and learning. The conference is a chance for us to celebrate our progress, discuss issues and challenges, and look to the future. Teaching Matters provides a relaxed atmosphere with opportunities for academic and general staff to move between a variety of sessions, talk to presenters, and build networks among colleagues. The conference is held annually and includes:

  • presentations
  • workshops
  • keynote speaker
  • teaching & learning Expo
  • teaching excellence forum

Themes for 2004

Presentations are particularly welcome on (but not limited to) the following themes:

  • community engagement
  • student-centred learning
  • internationalising the curriculum
  • teaching-research nexus
  • evidence-based teaching
  • generic graduate attributes
  • assessment
