Walk into Exile picks up where Meeting at Bark Hut leaves off, retracing the footsteps of Mannalargenna from the Bark Hut where he first encounters Robinson to the coast and Swan Island where he and his fellow clanspeople are detained at Robinson’s first staging camp. Although Robinson’s strategy would become his common practice, Mannalargenna’s group were the first encountered in the Friendly Mission campaign to cede to Robinson, agree to be taken under his protection and then to be exiled off-shore.
