Flexible Learning Spaces

Flexible Learning Spaces

As one of the EDGE projects, two Flexible Learning Spaces have been developed, one on the Sandy Bay campus and another on the Newnham campus. This is in support of the development of an enhanced physical infrastructure in support of student learning. This development was also highlighted in the 2003 Teaching Space Review to showcase spaces designed to support approaches to student centred learning, which are configurable, flexible and supported with appropriate technology.

The salient equipment and items of furniture in the spaces are ergonomic chairs with foldable, mobile, stackable tables; wireless network with computers on mobile tables, ceiling mounted data projectors, mobile lectern, mobile whiteboards and various audio visual equipment with touchscreen controls.
