Upgrades to Centrally Managed Learning Spaces

Process and timeline for managing submissions

Asset Management Services (AMS) will write to all Faculties with details of the criteria for assigning priorities for upgrades and with a draft list, for comment and addition. Any feedback received from the Faculties will be considered by the TFMG.

Timelines

  • March – Draft program, noting any backlog, prepared by AMS, with assessment against criteria
  • April – consultation by AMS with faculties on draft program
  • May – mid June – TFMG review and recommendations to PVC (T&L) for approval
  • June – November – develop briefs in consultation with users
  • December - December – project delivery

Criteria for upgrades to Centrally Managed Learning Spaces

  1. Functionality of the space – fitness for purpose
  2. University strategic priorities for teaching and learning
  3. Utilisation of the space
  4. Condition of the space
  5. Compliance with existing equipment guidelines for teaching spaces
  6. Accessibility
  7. Availability of alternate venues

Note: each year 10 –15% of the available funds for refurbishment will be held aside as a contingency for unforseen minor works
