PhD opportunity in whole-farm modelling of the productivity, profitability and greenhouse gas emissions of sheep, beef and dairy farms
The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA) is a joint venture between the University of Tasmania (UTAS) & the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water & Environment (DPIPWE). TIA conducts and delivers targeted, innovative and responsive agricultural education, research, development and extension.
We are seeking a talented individual with an interest in agriculture and modelling of whole farm systems. The person will join a team of researchers from TIA, the University of Melbourne and the Department of Environment and Primary Industries who are examining the impact of mitigating emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) from livestock on the profitability and productivity of beef, sheep and dairy farms.
