DARE - DiAbetics Reaching Extremes
DARE, DiAbetics Reaching Extremes is a collaborative project with Diabetes Australia Tasmania and has the financial and in kind support from both the University of Tasmania and Tasmania Police as well as a number of other local, state, national and international public and private organisations.

Trekkers take on Kokoda Track and raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
From 20th to 30th April 2008, Caroline Burridge, TILES Business Development Officer, will be trekking with Tasmania's Senator Guy Barnett and 16 others, along the Kokoda track in Papua New Guinea. They wil be tracing the steps of the Australian forces through the Owen Stanley Range to Kokoda. Senator Guy Barnett and Caroline Burridge have type 1 diabetes and will be key members of the Kokoda team.

The journey is a self-funded expedition to raise money and awareness for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and to honour our Diggers who fought bravely in the Kokoda battles.
