Biography
Professor Jenny Fleming joined TILES as a Professorial Research Fellow in July 2006 and has held the position of Director of TILES from July 2009 to Dec 2011. Professor Fleming has accepted an appointment as Professor of Criminology at the University of Southampton in UK. (Farewell To Professor Jenny Fleming)
A strong supporter of participatory action research with the emphasis on practitioner involvement, Professor Fleming has worked with ACT Policing as the chief coordinator of an ARC funded linkage project, Policing in the 21 st Century and is currently a Chief Investigator on an ARC Linkage project with Victoria Police, Edith Cowan University and University of Melbourne, She sits on several Boards including the Alcohol and other Drugs Council and the Institute of Public Administration of Australia. Her research interests include police management, the policing of alcohol-related activity and organisational change. She has published widely both nationally and internationally in these areas.
