A Warm Welcome to New Postgraduate Students

WelcomeThe Institute extends a warm welcome to two new postgraduate students who will be conducting research under the supervision of TILES Researcher, Dr Isabelle Bartkowiak-Theron.

Ms Eliza Jones is a MRes Candidate, and her research will focus on Opening the Gate to Restorative Justice. Her supervisors are Dr Isabelle Bartkowiak-Theron (TILES) and Dr Jeremy Prichard (Faculty of Law).

Ms Laura Michaelson is a PhD Candidate who was also successful in receiving a McDougall Scholarship as a seed grant that will assist her research on the Effectiveness of problem-solving courts: Exploring the reintegration of offenders through social indicators in the Mental Health Diversion List and the Court Mandated Diversion Program in Tasmania. Laura’s supervisors are Ms Terese Henning (TLRI, Faculty of Law) and Dr Isabelle Bartkowiak-Theron (TILES).

The new postgraduate students are joining a gradually expanding list of current postgraduates being supervised by TILES academics.

The Institute provides opportunities for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs - Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Research Masters (MRes), and full fee paying postgraduate courses.
