Institute’s Senior Researcher Invited to be a Visiting Fellow with Kennesaw State University in Atlanta

Angela DwyerAssociate Professor Angela Dwyer (pictured) was invited to be a Visiting Fellow with the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States, 5 -17 November 2018.

Associate Professor Dwyer was hosted by Associate Professor Tanja Link and delivered lectures with undergraduate students and seminars with staff and postgraduate students focusing on her research about LGBTQ people and criminal justice processes.

Dr Angela Dwyer is an Associate Professor in Police Studies and Emergency Management in the School of Social Sciences, and a Senior Researcher with TILES. Dr Dwyer is a leading scholar on how sexuality, gender, and sex diversity influences policing and criminal justice experiences, and how young people from vulnerable groups experience policing.
