Positive Feedback from the Queer(y)ing Justice in the Global South Conference

Queer(y)ing Justice organising committeeThe Queer(y)ing Justice in the Global South Conference organising committee (Dr Nicole Asquith, Dr Matthew Ball, Dr Angela Dwyer and Justin Ellis) received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants in the conference that brought together around 100 researchers, community members, and organisations working at the intersections of sexuality, gender diversity, and justice from across Australia and internationally. 

Keynote speakers included - Professor Jo Phoenix, Open University, UK, Dr Jace Valcore, University of Houston Downtown, USA and Dameyon Bonson, Black Rainbow, Australia.

The conference was held at The University of Sydney, Australia, from 11-13 July 2018, and convened as part nine of the Queering Paradigms conference series. It was jointly hosted by Sydney Institute of Criminology (The University of Sydney), the Crime and Justice Research Centre (Queensland University of Technology), the Tasmanian Institute of Law Enforcement Studies (University of Tasmania), and the School of Social Sciences and Psychology (Western Sydney University).
