Project Aimed at Reducing Harmful Effects on Children Exposed to Family Violence

Dr Romy Winter was part of a research team from the University of Tasmania's (UTAS) schools of Social Sciences and Health Sciences, conducting a research project aimed at reducing the harmful effects on children resulting from exposure to family violence. The project was partnered with The Salvation Army, Tasmania. A full story and photo of the research team is available on UTAS news.

Dr Winter is a University Associate with TILES, and Associate Lecturer in Police Studies. Dr Winter is recognised for her research on interpersonal violence, risk, and intimate relationships. She conducted extensive research on intimate partner violence for her PhD thesis entitled  Intimate Partner Violence: The Impact of Discourse on a Coordinated Response.
