tasmania police recruits share the dignity 2016Tasmania Police recruits (pictured), who are studying for their Bachelor of Social Sciences through the University of Tasmania as part of their police training, decided to join the Share the Dignity 2016 collection.

Share the Dignity is an initiative which aims to provide homeless and at risk women nationally with sanitary products to allow them a sense of dignity at a time when they need it most.

Dr Isabelle Bartkowiak-Théron, Discipline Coordinator of Police Studies and TILES' Senior Researcher, commended the recruits' efforts. "This contribution comes as an exercise in community engagement, as part of their tertiary curriculum on vulnerable people and victimisation," she said.
