Trans-Disciplinary Research Challenges Complex Issues in Society and Crime Prevention

Dr Jeremy Prichard is a Senior Lecturer in Criminal Law in the Faculty of Law, and an Honorary Research Associate with TILES. Dr Prichard’s core disciplines are law, criminology and psychology.

Besides teaching in the Faculty of Law, most of his energy is directed into trans-disciplinary research, as he believes there is an increasing need for this type of research to challenge the current complex social issues and crime prevention. Dr Prichard talks about his research on Elder Abuse - ‘Stories of our Law School’ Pod-Cast Series. By Grace Williams.

Since 2008, Dr Prichard has been engaged in collaborative research with TILES. He is also a valuable member of the Criminology, Law and Police Studies (CLP) research group and the Forensic Studies UTAS consortium – both areas being co-ordinated by Associate Professor Roberta Julian (TILES).
