  • Please download the Hub KPI spreadsheet as this forms part of the progress reporting. TMVC KPIs (MS Excel Worksheet 16.8 KB)
  • The completed KPI spreadsheet should be uploaded to the online form prior to submission.
  • You will be emailed a summary of your progress report submission upon completion.

If you have any difficulties with the online form or KPI spreadsheet, please contact Helen Scott, Hub Manager.

Conference Presentations & Journal Publications

All UTAS-based TMVC personnel are required to complete an approval form prior to abstract submission (for a poster or oral presentation at a conference, or for a journal article). The below steps should be followed with the accompanying form.

For those personnel associated with AMIRA project P1202, please continue to use the AMIRA approval form (MS Word Document 24 KB), rather than those below.

Conference related approvals

Eligibility
  • Conferences must be listed on the TMVC Conference Register (PDF File 194 KB) before any submission of TMVC-related abstracts will be considered.
  • Exceptions will be considered when a researcher receives a keynote or plenary speaker invitation for conferences not included on the TMVC Conference Register, but the researcher will need to provide written justification as to the benefits of participation at that conference.
Stage 1 - Initial abstract submission request
  • All paperwork needs to be signed and approved by the authors, supervisors and theme leaders, and delivered to the Hub Director and Hub Manager together with the conference abstract – no later than six (6) weeks before the abstract submission date.
  • If abstract submission is approved for distribution to the relevant Partner Organisation (PO) by the Hub Director, the relevant paperwork and abstract must be submitted to the industry partner no later than four (4) weeks prior to the abstract submission date.
Stage 2 - Poster / conference presentation request
  • The final copy of the planned oral or poster presentation must be signed off and approved by the authors and theme leaders, and delivered to the Hub Director and Hub Manager no later than six (6) weeks before the presentation date, together with documentation as to when the material was first presented to the POs, and whether any additional materials have been added to the presentation since it was first shared with the POs.
  • The relevant poster / PowerPoint file must be submitted by the Hub Director to the industry partner no later than four (4) weeks prior to the presentation date – submission is contingent on compliance with the requirements outlined above regarding reporting obligations.

Failure to meet any of the deadlines for either Stage 1 or Stage 2 of the conference publication request process will result in automatic rejection of the presentation.

Journal related approvals

Stage 1 - Manuscript submission request (inside confidentiality periods)
  • All paperwork needs to be signed and approved by the authors, supervisors and theme leaders, and delivered to the Hub Director and Hub Manager together with the manuscript.
  • If manuscript submission is approved for distribution to the relevant PO by the Hub Director, the relevant paperwork and manuscript must be submitted to the industry partner, with an anticipated period of four (4) weeks for them to review the document.
Stage 2 (if required) - Final manuscript submission request
  • The final copy of the manuscript must be signed off and approved by the authors and theme leaders, and delivered to the Hub Director and Hub Manager where significant changes have been made from the initial document. Documentation outlining the changes made to the manuscript and, where available, prior approval of the changes by the POs involved, should accompany the request.
  • The relevant file must be submitted by the Hub Director to the industry partner allowing them four (4) weeks to review the final copy.

Failure to follow the procedures in either Stage 1 or Stage 2 (if applicable) of the journal publication request process can result in automatic rejection of the request to submit inside the confidentiality period.
