Threatened Species Day presentations 2010

tas_devilHello or goodbye for the Tasmanian devil?

A series of presentations will be held on and around Threatened Species Day 2010 looking at the plight of the Tasmanian devil.

Threatened Species day is marked each year on September 7.

The Tassie devil’s future is looking bleak, due to the ravages of the devil facial tumour disease. Ninety per cent of devils have already disappeared from some areas of Tasmania’s wild. The window of opportunity to save the Tasmanian devil is now.

Held over three nights in three cities, the presentations are a chance to find out how the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program is working with the Tasmanian community to help save this iconic species.

An initiative of the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program coordinated by the University of Tasmania.

All welcome. Free entry.
