The Art of Christmas is fast approaching
UTAS' Menzies Research Institute Tasmania is gearing up for its signature annual fundraising event, the Art of Christmas.
Now in its ninth year, the Art of Christmas promotes Tasmanian artists and raises vital funds for medical research. The event will commence at 6pm, Thursday 17 October, at the UTAS Medical Science Precinct, Hobart.
The Art of Christmas evening will feature the sale and auction of original artwork by acclaimed Tasmanian artists including Katy Woodroffe, Milan Milojevic, Barbie Kjar and Stuart Clues.
This year there is a $5,000 Honda Foundation People's Choice Award, so make sure you vote online or on the night for your favourite artwork.
With the support of local business, Menzies will also once again produce a fabulous collection of Christmas cards. These have proved extremely popular in the past and this year’s selection of cards is stunning.
Tickets are available at Menzies reception at $40 per head ($35 early bird) and include live entertainment, canapes and drinks. There is a lucky door prize for one night's accommodation at the stylish Islington Hotel, including breakfast for two. The Art of Christmasraffle will also be drawn on the night.
