Brenda Richardson is an experienced IT and Business Executive currently working as an independent adviser in the areas of Information Technology and Business Governance.
For the past 10 years, Brenda worked within Ford Asia-Pacific providing IT strategy and planning for multiple business units, as well as organizational change management and communication. She has extensive global experience with a proven track record of leading teams locally, across Asia-Pacific and globally to deliver significant change, aligned plans and business results.
In 2000, as Vice President of IT and Business Initiatives for Ford Australia/NewZealand, Brenda became the first Australian woman to serve on the operating committee of an Automotive Company and in this capacity helped guide the business decisions for a 5000 strong workforce. Prior to this she held numerous roles within IT, Manufacturing, Logistics, Strategy and Process Re-Engineering functions in Australia, USA, and Germany.
Brenda attended the University of Tasmania, graduating with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics with First Class Honours in Mathematics. She holds a Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2004 she was recipient of the UTas Foundation Graduate Award.
Brenda was born in Devonport and spent her school years in Hobart. She now lives in regional Victoria with her husband and two children and maintains a keen interest in community, environmental, and people development activities.
