Rob Meredith was appointed to University Council in June 2008. He is currently the elected Statewide President of the Tasmania University Union Inc., and previously served as the Vice President of the TUU, and as Activities President in 2006.
Robert was educated in Launceston at Queechy High School and Newstead College, finishing his final year of college in 2002. Robert is a part-time 4th year Law student at UTAS, and lives in Taroona in Hobart.
Robert is a strong believer in effective student representation, and has a broad range of interests related to his position, including student welfare, federal education support policy reforms, as well as the future of Australia's higher education institutions as providing a broad platform of graduate skills and life experience that goes beyond the provision of academic learning and produces proactive, productive, engaged, and innovative graduates at a world standard.
