Vehicle Fleet manages the University of Tasmania’s vehicles and:
- provides suitable vehicles for academic and general staff requiring vehicles for essential travel within Tasmania
- manages vehicles permanently allocated to University departments and schools
- purchases new vehicles
- facilitates the disposal of University vehicles that are no longer required, and
- arranges bookings for vehicles. (Charges for vehicles apply.)
Before booking a vehicle, hirers need to be familiar with:
- license procedures
- the hirers' responsibilities
- accident and breakdown requirements
- fines and infringement information
The offices for Vehicle Fleet are located on the Sandy Bay campus next to UniPrint, and on the Newnham campus next to Asset Management Services.
