Vehicles are available to properly licenced and authorised University staff only.
Vehicle bookings can be made by contacting Vehicle Fleet. After the booking is made and a fleet or hire vehicle has been allocated, you will be required to forward a vehicle requisition as soon as possible to confirm the booking.
Vehicle Fleet will arrange a hire vehicle from an external hire firm if no UTAS Fleet vehicles are available. External hire vehicles will fit as closely as possible to client requirements. Vehicle Fleet will not hire vehicles (e.g. small vehicles) that do not comply with the University Vehicle policy [PDF].
If a vehicle is booked for early Monday morning you may be able to collect the vehicle late Sunday afternoon. You can take a vehicle home at the close of business to allow for an early start the next day if the vehicle is available. This must be confirmed with the Vehicle Fleet Officer before proceeding. Please note that the vehicle cannot be used for private purposes.
