License procedures

Vehicles are available to authorised University drivers only. All new drivers must present their license to the Vehicle Fleet officers before driving a University vehicle and a declaration must be signed by an Accountable Person in the Budget Centre. These details are kept on the Vehicle Fleet database together with a photocopy of the driver's license.

Fines and traffic infringements

Drivers are responsible for all fines.

The police or councils will forward the infringement to Vehicle Fleet requesting the relevant driver details. Vehicle Fleet will advise the driver of the infringement and then forward the details back to Tasmania Police or relevant council. The infringement notice will then be forwarded to the offender at their private address.

Parking fines are passed on to the vehicle user who is advised to pay the fine within the required time limit.
