Exhibition artist: David Marsden
David Marsden is a visual artist who works with a variety of media, including painting, printmaking and drawing. The exhibition is a survey of his activities in these mediums from the mid nineteen seventies up to the present. The time David Marsden spent living and working on Flinders island in the early nineteen eighties was extremely important in the development of his visual language, and this exhibition focuses on how this language has changed and developed since moving from that stimulating island environment and culture.
Against the tide is presented as part of the Academy Gallery X - Factor Exhibition Program. The X - Factor Exhibition Program aims to promote the artwork created by mid to established career Tasmanian artists.
