ArtsForum is a series of free public lectures held at the Tasmanian College of the Arts (Inveresk). Students and members of the public are welcome to attend. |
Art, according to French philosopher Giles Deleuze, produces sensations, affects and intensities as its mode of addressing problems. In this talk, Jen Brown shares 'peak moments' of sensation, affect, intensity in art encountered during recent travels through galleries and festivals in seven countries around the globe and discusses ways in which these experiences nourish the development of her own creative practice.
Jen Brown, PhD, is a digital artist, researcher, educator and director of Mediaarts based in Launceston.
