Exhibition curator: Merle Tonts  

The exhibition focuses on the conditions of the Australian primary art market that the emerging artists face. The mixed media exhibition aims to juxtapose through artwork the two sides of the market - the artist as a producer and the gallery as the representative.

The exhibition will be based on extensive research on the commercial and non-profit viability of economical survival within the Australian contemporary art scene. The curator aims to showcase through audio and visual art the results of research explored during a post graduate coursework project and give a clear, concise and unbiased overview of the key processes and factors that affect the Australian primary art scene.
