Find out how teachers have been making creativity visible in Tasmanian schools and early childhood settings. This exhibition features the work of educators behind the scenes: planning, documenting and sharing their own practice to bring creativity to the core of curriculum. What makes educators curious when it comes to creative teaching and learning?
The launch on Thursday May 23 from 5-7pm is a free public event. It includes an exhibition of key pages from the new Curious Schools public online platform, and artefacts from creative projects in schools. A forum will also be presented by UTAS Faculty of Education Creativity and Arts Teaching and Research Group with participating artists and educators.
The Curious Schools project is a partnership between the University of Tasmania, Faculty of Education; Arnold Aprill, Founder and Lead Consultant of Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education; and a group of Tasmanian educators, carers and artists committed to bringing creativity back to the heart of education. It is supported by a UTAS Community Engagement Grant.
