Northern Children’s Network’s annual children’s art exhibition, Art TAStic, is now in its 8th year, with over 3,000 pieces of unique children’s’ artwork showcased during this time from children aged up to 18 years. The exhibition now encompasses artwork from many areas of Tasmania. NCN’s services are now state-wide as their community child care services and local partnerships expand.
This year’s exhibition will be a kaleidoscope of colour and imagination from a child’s perspective, focusing on what is special to them in ‘their community’, be it at home, at school or in child care etc. The partnership with the University of Tasmania’s NEW Gallery (Newnham campus), has allowed NCN to utilise the gallery’s unique art space for the wider community’s enjoyment during and beyond Children’s Week 2013.
