Evan lectures at the Tasmanian Polytechnic in Screen and also the University of Tasmania School of Visual and Performing Arts in the Photo Media department.
Evan Starkey began his career as a professional photographer in the U.K and is now involved in film production and broadcast in radio and television.
Evan completed his Master of Contemporary Arts in 2008 at the School of Visual and Performing Arts. Evan has produced and engineered albums for recording artists and authored DVD’s for international distribution: this expertise has extended to the production of live shows in the fashion industry, nationally. He explores the avenue of future cinema through creative insulation.
Some examples of recent projects have resulted in research and installation work involving this media at Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery and Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre in Tasmania.
