Karen has taught introductory theory, professional practice units and advanced research skills at the School of Visual and Performing Arts at UTAS. She has previously taught in Communication Studies, English and Cultural Studies and the Arts Practicum at the University of Western Australia.
Karen has published and presented on topics such as medievalism, desire and nineteenth-century Australian women writers.
Karen Hall has research interests in feminist theory, popular culture and representations of the past. She completed her PhD in 2008 in the Discipline of English and Cultural Studies at the University of Western Australia, focusing on science fiction and the evolution of generic boundaries.
