The regal logo is the University’s official coat of arms. The 'regal' University logo is restricted for very formal, ceremonial and legal communications. Examples of its use would include partnership agreements, MOUs with other institutions, testamurs and other legal documents. The Regal logo should not appear on Faculty/School advertising or design communications or internal administrative documents not falling under the previous definition. |

The public logo for the University is the 'UTAS lion' version, and this should be used for all communications, including marketing, recruitment, advertising and stationery. The public logo has a colour and mono version. Where possible the colour version should be the first choice in most instances. The logo should be positioned in the top right corner where possible. The public logo is available to be downloaded. |
The minimum size for reproduction of the logo is 20mm wide for the vertical logo, and 30mm wide for the horizontal logo.
A smaller version of the logo can only be used required to fit within the surface area of an object (for example a UTAS pen).
A certain amount of clear space must be maintained around the logo, to ensure that it stands alone and recognisable in its proper format.
Spot colour: BLACK and RED PMS 485, Process – 91% Yellow 100% Magenta
*For screenprint or newsprint use Process 100% Yellow, 100% Magenta for RED
Use of the UTAS logo for anything outside of the exisiting stationery and brochure templates must be approved by the Director of Marketing. The following examples provide a guide.

Each faculty has an assigned ‘key’ colour to create distinction and act as a visual identifier. Faculty and school imagery incorporates the UTAS public logo and the faculty name within a solid banner in the faculty key colour. Where relevant, the School name sits under the Faculty name.
However, the faculty and school imagery is NOT a logo and should not be used in place of the UTAS public logo. To ensure consistency the Faculty and School imagery should be used, as supplied, in the horizontal version only and must not be altered. The placement of the Faculty or School imagery should be on the back cover/back page of printed material only.
Any enquiries about the use of the UTAS logo, including approvals, can be directed to:
