University Web Content Management System

The University’s Content Management System (UWCMS) is the simple tool editors can use to update their web content. It gives you flexibility in styling and inputting content, within the design framework and in conjunction with the Web Style Guidelines developed and maintained by Web Services.

Content editors can use Edit Plus (PDF 5.6MB) for adding and maintaining content. This is a simplified environment and you don’t need lots of training or knowledge of technical web practices to use it.

The UWCMS Advanced Editing interface is only for staff who administer their sites.  Providing access to other helpful tools within the system including metadata, accessibility checking, audit trails and workflow.

Editing access

To get access to the UWCMS, you first need to complete the mandatory training requirements, and obtain authorisation from your Head of School.

The system is browser based, so once you’ve been granted access, all you’ll need is your username and password.

Technical details

The UWCMS is powered by Squiz Matrix. It is a browser-based system, supported by the Web Services team and the software developer Squiz.
