What's happening now:
- Finalisation of a new Web Policy & Web Publishing Guidelines fro approval by the WSSC
- Investigation of an iTunes U pilot
- First round of training for users of the University Web CMS in October
- Commencing the implementation of the new CMS, MySource Matrix - with over 50 websites planned in coming months
- Ongoing pilot of blog & wiki software.
Achievements so far in 2009:
- Second round of web support forums held in Launceston & Hobart - view the PowerPoint presentation (PDF)
- Evaluation of the CMS pilot & endorsement by the Web Services Steering Committee to proceed to full implementation
- Development of HTML templates for the new, improved web visual standard
- Pilot of a Web Content Management System (CMS) incorporating the new, improved web visual standard
- Development of a Communication Plan
- Recruitment of staff to the University Web Services team
- Establish the Web Services Governance Framework
- Development of an Implementation Plan from the Web Services Strategic Action Plan.
