Wicking researcher featured in Harper’s Bazaar

Lila Landowski

The Wicking Centre's very own lecturer and neuroscientist, Dr Lila Landowski, has been selected to appear in this month's Harper's Bazaar Magazine.

Lila was among a handful of women who will be featured in the Fabulous at Every Age portfolio, which celebrates talented women in Australia.

Her research with the Wicking Centre focuses on peripheral neuropathy treatment and in particular the groundbreaking discovery of a natural molecule that can promote and direct nerve regeneration.

Many of our MOOC participants will know Dr Landowski as the Unit Coordinator of CAD110 Negotiated Study in Understanding Dementia, an elective unit which allows students the opportunity to reflect on their learnings from the Understanding Dementia MOOC.

Lila also appears as a regular guest on the ABC Statewide Radio show 'Science Club', where she has the opportunity to share her love of science and discuss the latest hot topics in scientific research.

The Wicking Centre congratulates Lila for this prestigious recognition with Harper's Bazaar. See photos from the Fabulous at Every Age event here.
