Biography
Dr Bramble is a Registered Nurse with recency of clinical practice in sub acute and residential aged care. As an academic in the School of Nursing and Midwifery she leads the initiative to strengthen research/teaching synergies to achieve best practice outcomes in aged care. Marguerite’s key area of research expertise is mixed methodology in the clinical area of dementia. Her PhD tested the effects of a best practice partnership model of care to improve family involvement in residential dementia care.
Research Interests
Marguerite coordinates the unit Perspectives on Ageing, for which the learning outcomes are based on an interprofessional teaching pedagogy for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Health Science. As Project Officer in the Teaching Aged Care Facilities (TACF) Program research project she is implementing Stage 4 of the program in northern Tasmania, which aims to establish quality interprofessional clinical placements in dementia care. She continues her research interest in identifying family caregiver needs and involvement in the care of people with dementia through the Family Involvement in Care of People with Dementia in Acute Care project.
