The Dementia Enabling Environments Project (DEEP)
This project proposes an interconnected suite of initiatives to inform, educate and support the development and implementation of enabling environments in order to make significant differences to the quality of life of people living with dementia.
The DEEP project has resulted in the launch of a high quality website which received 500 visitors in the first two weeks of operation. This website provides information and advice on the design/modification of homes, aged care facilities and gardens for people with dementia. The information/advice is organised around a set of easily understood principles. The website provides access to environmental audit tools that help users to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their facilities.
