Clearing your brower cache and cookies can solve some problems, by ensuring that the latest versions of the MOOC pages are loaded. In response to feedback, some pages have been changed so that they will work better on various systems, but your browser might still be using "old" copies of those pages.
Clearing your cache and cookies is relatively easy, but the method differs depending on your type of browser.
If you're not sure of which browser you're using, this page will tell you.

Internet Explorer 8 and 9
Step 0
In order to clear your cache you will first need to be able to see the Menu bar which might be hidden. To show the Menu bar, right-click on an empty part of the blue (Internet Exporer 9) or grey (Internet Explorer 8) bar immediately above the webpage and tick the "Menu bar" option. The menu bar might already be showing by default depending on your settings.

Select Internet Options from the "Tools" Menu
Step 2

Click the "Delete..." button under 'Browser history' on the dialogue box that opens
Step 3
On the dialogue box that opens:
- Untick “Preserve Favourites website data”
- Tick Temporary Internet files
- Tick Cookies
- Untick History, Download History, Form Data, Passwords, Active X filtering.
Then click the “Delete” button. The dialogue box will close.
Click OK on the remaining dialogue box.
Restart your browser.
Firefox
Step 0
In order to clear your cache you will first need to be able to see the Menu bar which might be hidden. To show the Menu bar, right-click on the window, just past the Add new tab ("+") symbol, and tick the "Menu Bar" option. The menu bar might already be showing by default depending on your settings.

Select Options from the "Tools" Menu

Click the "Privacy" tab, and then click the 'clear your recent history' link
Step 3
On the dialogue box that opens:
- Select "Everything" from the dropdown menu at the top
- Click on the icon next to "Details" to expand the deletion options
- Tick:
- Cookies
- Cache
- Untick: everything else
- Click the Clear Now button (the dialogue box will close)
- Click OK on the remaining dialogue box.
- Restart your browser.
Chrome
Step 1
Open the main menu by clicking on the icon with the three horizontal lines at the end of the address bar.
Step 2
Click on the "Show advanced setting" link near the bottom of the page that opens. This will show more options on the current page.
Step 3
In the "Privacy" Section of the page click the "Clear browsing data…" button.
Step 4
On the dialogue box that opens:
- Select "the beginning of time" from the dropdown menu at the top
- Tick:
- Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data
- Empty the cache
- Clear data from hosted apps
- Untick: everything else
- Click the Clear browsing button (the dialogue box will close)
- Close the "settings' page.
- Restart your browser.
Safari
Step 1
Open the "Reset Safari" panel from the Safari Menu.
Step 2
On the dialogue box that opens:
- Tick: Remove all website data
- Untick: everything else
- Click the Reset button (the dialogue box will close)
- Restart your browser.
