National Harmonisation Work Health and Safety Laws come into effect 1 Jan 2013.
To assist with explaining these important changes, WorkSafe Tasmania has released a number of publications. Worksafe Tasmania provides educational material on its website and Workplace Standards Tasmania is the compliance site.

Safe Work Australia is the National Work ,Health & Safety policy development body Regulator for new laws and associated codes of practices. Information and guidance material is available on the Safe Work Australia site:
Australian Industry Group, a member of Safe Work Australia have released a summary on the new national WHS Laws - Good reference document (PDF 225KB)
A staff development course called 'Staff Development - UTAS Officers Work Health Safety Information Course' is available in MyLO.
Login to the staff development course
Alternatively, staff will find the course listed on their MyLO course list.
Successful completion of the course will result in your name being recorded into the training database Certificate Management System (MyCert) as well as you receiving an emailed certificate of completion.
