The OnGuard safety training programs are tailored software resource packages to address health and safety issues over a range of different areas. These programs have been created to run on computers or smaller hand held devices but are not apps.
These programs have been created in response to the growing WH&S legislation compliance necessary to instruct, train and supervise people in the workplace.
The programs are divided into modules which consist of information (called safe operating procedures), a self-directed tutorial for revision and an on-line quiz for assessment**.
**Please note that the quiz will stop and lock you out for 30 seconds if you get an answer incorrect.
These programs are for safety induction and do not replace any specific on-site training you may also need.
Access to the induction training has been set up through the MyLO on the Student Safety Induction page that is found in the ‘Work Health and Safety Integrated Training’. This page also includes messages about how to access the induction programs by self-registering using your UTAS username and password (the induction system does not have a ‘remember me’ function). This page also has direct links to the five different areas as shown below:
