The 4-year full-time combined degree of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science is offered on the Hobart and Launceston campuses by the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology A limited first year is offered at the North-West Centre. Some units are available by Distance Education. In addition, some units are offered to students commencing in July.

Marine Science is a rich and diverse discipline (including elements of biology, chemistry, physics, geology, oceanography, mathematics and other sciences.
The Bachelor of Antarctic Studies with Honours, offered by the Institute of Antarctic and Southern Ocean Studies (IASOS) combines a general overview of Antarctic and Southern Ocean matters with specialist training in a research topic, generally within physical sciences, biological sciences, law, polity, international relations, environmental management, or polar technology.
This three-year full-time or six-year part-time course is offered by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology and is available at Hobart. Antarctic and Southern Ocean is one of the University's theme areas and it is an area that is unique to the University of Tasmania. The course has two streams - Antarctic Life Science or Antarctic Physical Sciences - allowing for different emphases in specialisation.
This on-campus, 4-year (minimum) full-time course is available at Hobart. The objectives are to provide: a sound basis in the physical and biological sciences in the first two years of study; in the final two years of study, specialisation and advanced study of the major discipline areas of agricultural science; scientific knowledge in the principles of agricultural production and sustainable resource management that meet the needs of industry, business and government.
The Bachelor of Natural Environment and Wilderness Studies (min 3 yrs) is for students who are interested in gaining a wide interdisciplinary understanding of natural environments and wilderness and developing knowledge, skills and techniques that are useful in employment or other activities related to natural environments and wilderness.
