Offered by the University of Tasmania in partnership with Echos School of Design Thinking, this intensive 3-day workshop offers a hands-on, high energy experience where you will learn the tools and theory behind the design thinking process.
What is Design Thinking?
Despite the name, design thinking isn’t just for designers! In fact, design thinking is a creative mindset that any business and profession can used to foster change and innovation in the workplace.
At its core, design thinking is a human-centred approach to problem solving which encourages you to develop a deeper understanding of people’s needs - before finding an effective solution for those needs.
What will you learn?
During the 3-day workshop, you will ‘learn by doing’ and tackle real projects to develop new skills, such as:
- Discover how to adopt a mindset to solve complex problems and improve work productivity;
- Learn how to successfully innovate and lead change through design thinking;
- Learn practical ways to revolutionise team work, collaboration and empathy awareness;
- Build your confidence to create new products, services or business models;
The course will run in Hobart (CBD) on Monday 26 August - Wednesday 28 August.
