Recently appointed Executive Director of Advancement Kate Robertson says she’s looking forward to building sustainable and meaningful relationships with alumni, donors and other stakeholders in her new role.
Most recently the Chief Advancement Officer at St Peter’s College in Adelaide, Ms Robertson heralds from the UK, where she held a number of fundraising positions with prestigious arts institutes including the Royal Academy of Arts, Tate Gallery Liverpool and the English National Opera.
She has also held the position of Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the Universities of Liverpool and Nottingham in the UK, and Chief Engagement Officer at Adelaide University.
Ms Robertson has worked in the field of Advancement since she graduated from the University of Liverpool (UK) in 1990. She relocated to Australia in 2013 when she took up a role with the University of Adelaide.
Ms Robertson said she was looking forward to this next chapter in her career.
“I am very much looking forward to joining the University, getting to know colleagues, alumni and donors and working together to make a positive and lasting contribution to the continued growth and development of Tasmania," Ms Robertson said.
Ms Robertson’s family are also relocating to Tasmania.
"We’re very excited about making Hobart our home and getting to enjoy the many wonderful things that Tasmania has to offer.”
Ms Robertson joins the University this month.
